Newport Car Museum - Highly Recommended

On our day trip to Newport, we went to the Newport Car Museum, which I was very excited for, having heard about it for a long time. If you like cars it's a must visit if you're in the area, and even if you don't like cars you might enjoy it. Lorna isn't into cars and she enjoyed it. Also, it's a good size. There are a lot of cars to see, over one hundred I think, but it's not so large that it takes all day to see the museum. $20 well spent. Saw a lot of cars that I've heard about but never seen in person.

This is a picture of Plaza Mayor in Madrid. This is a closeup of the statue of Phillip III that is in Plaza Mayor. Madrid street view. This is a strange looking bird we saw in the botanical gardens in Madrid. I don't know what kind of bird it is. If anyone does, please post it in the comments. Another Madrid street view.

Mosaics are Cool

 I love mosaics. The ones below are from Ostia Antica. First the main mosaic at the Baths of Neptune. I think this might technically not be mosaic, since it's all inlaid panels of stone, but it's amazing nonetheless. From Ostia Antica. I think this fellow is a bath attendant with his bucket and strigil. Note the depiction of Romulus and Remus with the female wolf. Below here are ones from the Plaza of the Guilds at Ostia Antica. Look this up it's very cool. The final ones are from museums in Rome.
